The Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS Scheme) is an export program created as part of the 2015-20 Foreign Trade Policy. MEIS was developed with the purpose of promoting Indian exports by offering incentives ranging from 2% to 7% of the FOB value of notified/specific products. By offering these incentives, the MEIS Scheme intends to increase the competitiveness of Indian commodities in global markets by compensating inefficient infrastructure and associated expenses associated with exports from India.
MEIS provides an incentive in the form of a duty credit scrip or MEIS license that may be used to pay import duties or sold on the open market at a premium cost. Our team strives to get the MEIS licenses for you so that you do not have to hustle for paying import or export duties.
